Business model

Wetteri has Finland's widest brand selection, and its business model covers the sale of new passenger cars, utility vehicles and heavy vehicles, spare parts, maintenance and damage repair services, as well as used car sales. The comprehensive business model creates a broad foundation for organic growth across different operating segments, providing stable revenue streams and mitigating business risks during economic fluctuations. Our business segments are:

Distribution of revenue in 2025, %

Passenger car sales generate a majority of the revenue

The passenger car business is the largest operating segment by revenue, accounting for approximately 70% (2025) of our total revenue.

We have Finland's most extensive passenger car brand sales and service representation, with a total of 36 car brands. Thanks to our long history, we have a strong market position in the passenger car trade and can offer suitable alternatives for various motoring needs.

The passenger car business creates synergy benefits for our operations: the handover of new cars involves maintenance work, scheduled maintenance is centralised to Wetteri, and customers remain highly committed to using Wetteri's services. Used car sales, in turn, benefit from trade-ins received through new car sales. The used car selection is supplemented by systematic purchasing.

Maintenance operations bring stability and recurring revenue

The share of maintenance services in our total revenue has grown steadily in recent years. In the passenger car business, the purchasing cycle is slow and even one-off, but aftermarket services bring continuity to operations and help with customer retention. Our spare parts, maintenance and damage repair businesses form the cornerstone of a profitable business, balancing out the effects of cyclical fluctuations on our business.

The electrification of motoring changes car maintenance routines, but the need for maintenance does not disappear. Electrification is reflected in maintenance operations as an increased demand for more brand-specific expertise and, consequently, increased customer loyalty. Regular inspections and maintenance of electric vehicles are part of the vehicle's lifecycle management, and wearable parts must be replaced regularly. In addition to facilities that meet safety requirements for electric vehicle maintenance, brand-specific expertise is valuable. Thanks to our multi-brand strategy, we have solid expertise in most of the best-selling car brands, which also makes us strong in the driving power transition. Counterbalancing electrification, the Finnish car fleet is continuously aging. Wetteri also has expertise in servicing older car fleets. Extensive brand representation in maintenance ensures that the company can offer expert maintenance services for most car brands.

We invest in the development of maintenance operations, digital service channels and direct mechanic operations. In direct mechanic operations, the customer deals directly with the mechanic servicing the car, which makes the process more efficient. The transparency of maintenance services has been improved by offering a so-called video check before and after maintenance, which gives the customer an idea of the immediate actions required for the car and a professional's view of future maintenance needs.

Heavy vehicles complement the offering

The heavy vehicles segment includes the sale of used trucks, heavy vehicle maintenance, spare parts, and tire services, as well as the heavy vehicle superstructure business. Heavy vehicle utilization rates are typically significantly higher than those of passenger cars, which shortens vehicle maintenance cycles.

For our customers, the functionality of heavy vehicles is critical. We serve our customers flexibly and have developed models for predicting maintenance needs, which minimize business disruptions caused by maintenance. Similar to passenger car maintenance, heavy vehicle maintenance brings continuity and predictability to the business.
